The most common B12 used in supplements is called Cyanocobalamin. It is a synthetic form of vitamin B12; while is the naturally occurring form of Vitamin B12.

The body must convert Cyanocobalamin to Methylcobalamin in order to get adequate levels of Methyl B12 into the blood system.
