Recipe for Healthy Nerves: Baked Salmon with Garlic and Herbs

This recipe features salmon, which is high in omega-3 fatty acids, and garlic and herbs, which have anti-inflammatory properties.   • 4 salmon fillets (skin on)
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, and olive oil.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  5. Brush the garlic and herb mixture over the salmon fillets.
  6. Top each fillet with a few slices of lemon.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Serve with your favorite steamed vegetables or a side salad.
