Perhaps this portable, lightweight technology could have medical applications right here on earth...replacing expensive, bulky, and cumbersome laser systems used in hospitals across the country.
Not only would it be easier to use, but it's low cost and portability could allow patients to use it in the comfort of their own homes while saving thousands of dollars.
Further studies found that the therapy with red and near-infrared light technology did indeed prove effective for brain tumors, painful mouth sores, and more…
And they found something else...
It also helped accelerate nerve regeneration in damaged nerves!
When your nerves are damaged - be it from physical trauma, underlying medical conditions, vitamin deficiencies, or something else - a fluid is produced.
This fluid - called chamber fluid - contains neurotrophic factors that accelerate nerve regeneration.
And in a study on near-infrared (a.k.a. Red Light) therapy on damaged nerves, researchers found that exposing the damaged nerves to red-light therapy for 1-hour a day improved nerve regeneration and increased antioxidation levels in the chamber fluid.
In the control group, antioxidation levels in the chamber fluid significantly decreased between the 3rd and 7th day…
But in the LED red-light therapy group, antioxidation levels didn’t decrease until 7 days.
Researchers concluded that “LED irradiation improved nerve regeneration and increased antioxidation levels in the chamber fluid. Therefore, we propose that antioxidation induced by LEDs may be conducive to nerve regeneration.” [2]
